YUKON QUEST ALASKA ANNOUNCES TOK AIR SERVICE AVIATION SPONSORSHIP

Yukon Quest Alaska is extremely proud to announce an aviation sponsorship of the 2025 Sled Dog Races by Tok Air Service! The sponsorship will allow the veterinarians, officials, and volunteers to get in/out of remote checkpoints in order to safely to support the race.

Zack Knaebel, a seasoned pilot and owner of Tok Air Service, reflects on the race’s iconic history and its enduring spirit along with his excitement for sponsorship: “Years ago, alone, 40 below, camped in the snow next to the Yukon Quest trail somewhere on the Fortymile River. I was tough, the dogs and mushers trotting by in the dark, piercing cold were tougher. Moonlight, jingling neck-lines, panting dogs, bootied paws rhythmically crunching in the snow. Trail marker after trail marker. ‘On by, On by.’ The Yukon Quest Alaska is still the toughest sled dog race in the world and embodies human spirit, connection, and community bonded together with the wilderness, sled dogs, and the gritty folks who thrive on life lived in the North.”

Knaebel highlights the unique nature of the Yukon Quest Alaska, stating, “The race and all its aspects are unlike so much virtual reality in the world today and it is our collective reality to support the history, culture, adventure, spirit and stamina of sled dogs, mushers, and communities along the trail.”

Through this partnership, Tok Air Service will be donating a pilot, aircraft, and flight time, providing crucial logistical support to ensure the race’s success. This collaboration underscores Tok Air Service’ commitment to fostering the spirit of adventure and community that defines the Yukon Quest Alaska, ensuring its continued legacy for future generations.
